Common Types of Support Services Equipment

  • Air Compressors

    Air Compressors

The power source of all air tools, air compressors are usually hitch-towed machines that ride on two wheels. A gas engine builds and maintains air pressure in the compressor's tank. A valve with an NPT (double female) coupler is rigged to the tank. A three-eighths to three-quarter-inch hose is attached to the coupler and supply air pressure to tools and equipment. Air compressors are used to power everything from small, hand tools -- such as air guns and wrenches -- to large equipment like jack hammers and rock drills.

    Pressure Washers

Appropriate for a variety of uses, pressure washers can be used to clean the exteriors of vehicles; roofs, walls, windows and sidewalks; shower and locker room tiles; and a variety of other large-scale projects.

  • Traffic Safety

    Traffic Safety

Round out the temporary redirection of traffic around the construction site by putting up plenty of traffic signs that the public will immediately recognize. While static signs do a passable job of alerting workers to changes in the work site roads, dynamic lit signs are even more eye-catching. These signs are essential when you are working on a public road, but they're worth renting even when you are only managing the traffic on your own private project. No matter which type of sign chosen for the project, all of them do a good job of informing viewers of the most recent changes to the traffic patterns.
